As a church, we invite children of all ages to be a part of the growing, thriving ministry of our church. With spaces for newborns and toddlers in our nursery and classes for preschoolers and elementary school every Sunday morning, we welcome your entire family to take part in learning and growing towards Christ as a part of our faith-community. If you have questions about our Childrens Ministry please email our Director of Children Ministry, Nicole Soyka.
The nursery is staffed with faithful volunteers to care for your infants so you may enjoy any of Christ Church’s worship services. The nursery area is located adjacent to the sanctuary and provides a wonderful and safe environment to meet the needs of infants and toddlers less than two years of age.
It’s church all right, but church designed especially for our youngest worshipers. Our energetic Arctic Expedition leaders lead worship each Sunday for our Kindergarten – Grade 5 children. This group meets during the 9:00 AM adult worship service. During this time, our children learn the “ins and outs” of what it means to worship God. Children also get to do a fun craft each week as a part of the service’s teaching reinforcement portion.
This is an exciting place for all our little explorers! Classes meet during the 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM worship services (Toddler-Preschool only at the 9:00 AM service). Our experienced expedition leaders are committed to nurturing and growing the next generation of Christians and bring much enthusiasm to the classroom as they lead the children through relevant Bible lessons, music, crafts and more. These classes explore the foundational issues of the Christian faith – teaching the children what it means to belong to God and who they are in Christ Jesus.
Christ Church offers Sunday AM classes simultaneous with our 10:30 AM worship service for the following age groupings: Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 1, Grades 2-3 and Grades 4-5. We as a church realize that there are many paths we can choose to reach destinations, and as a kid, our early choices are critical. Our exciting, fresh and relevant “WALK with ME” curriculum seeks to grow faith, build community and celebrate the value and rich diversity of God’s precious children. Not only that, but it lends itself to lots of fun as well! With “Walk with Me,” our children ask “What does God’s Word mean for me and how should I act on it?” More so, they are encouraged to enjoy the rich fellowship that develops in the classrooms.
