Care Ministries

We have several Care Ministries at Christ Church that are designed to stand with you and your family through a variety of challenges.

Our Care Ministries include the Deacons, the Prayer Ministry, the MOMCo ministry that supports young mothers with a fellowship group, our Grief Care ministry that comforts those who have experienced profound losses; our Divorce Care and DC4K ministries that support families with resources to process through divorces, and Single & Parenting that supports single parents with mentoring resources and fellowship.

We also have a very active Prayer Ministry through which you and your family can receive prayer support.

Deacons

Spiritual care is a vital aspect of life and ministry at CPC. While our Pastors stand at the forefront of this ministry, our Deacons provide much needed assistance, offering hospitality and care in a variety of ways throughout the year.

Pastor Mike and a team of three Deacons work to contact those in our congregation who are in need. Deacons are nominated by the congregation and serve for three years. Among other duties, the Deacons serve coffee and refreshments after worship, provide and serve bereavement meals, set up and help serve communion, and provide communion to those who are hospitalized or homebound.

If you are in need of any of these services, please contact Bob or Donna Gates.

Divorce &

Grief Ministries

Each year we offer support groups for those who are enduring or have endured divorces.

We also offer support for those who are processing the loss of a loved one. To learn more about opportunities for Divorce Care, Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K), and for Grief Care, please click on the icon(s) to learn more or contact Becky Anderson.

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry at Christ Church began in 2010. Over the years we have had as many as 125 people join as members of our Prayer Ministry to pray for those who share prayer requests. We share many of the requests, as long as they are not confidential, in the Prayers of the People in Sunday Morning Worship, and in a prayer chain that is emailed to the members of this group. In addition to these resources we also have a Prayer Room located in our church offices, right next to our sanctuary. If you would like to join our Prayer Ministry, please email our Prayer Coordinator, Rev. Mike Shirey.

If you would like our Prayer Ministry to pray for your prayer request please share it below on our Prayer Request Form.
