Growing Through The Support Of Care Ministries

We have a number of Care Ministries at Christ Church that are designed to stand with you and your family through a variety of challenges. Some of these ministries include the Deacons, the Stephen Ministry, the Prayer Ministry, the MOPS ministry that supports young mothers with a fellowship group, our Grief Care ministry that comforts those who have experienced profound losses; our Divorce Care and DC4K ministries that supports families with resources to process through divorces, and Single & Parenting that supports single parents with mentoring resources and fellowship. We support Veterans, First Responders, and their families who have been touched by trauma. We also have a very active Prayer Ministry that you and your family can receive prayer support through.

Our congregation has two care communities that play a vital role in its spiritual care. Our Deacons serve as our church's primary servant-ministry team, offering hospitality and care in a variety of ways throughout the year.  Our Deacons are nominated by our congregation, they are committed to the peace and purity of our church family. Every congregation member at Christ Church, following their membership class, is assigned to a Deacon Care Community. If you would like to find out more about our Deacons please email our church office

The other vital care community we have is our Stephen Ministry. Stephen ministry is a national para-church ministry that since 1975 has cared for millions of people one-on-one, offering to them Christ-centered care. Each Stephen Minister is trained in how to walk with the individuals they care for. If you would like more information regarding our Stephen Ministry please email the Stephen Ministry Coordinator, Donna Gates

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry at Christ Church began in 2010. Over the years we have had as many as 125 people join as members of our Prayer Ministry to pray for those who share prayer requests. We share many of the requests, as long as they are not confidential, in the Prayers of the People in Sunday Morning Worship, and in a prayer chain that is emailed to the members of this group. In addition to these resources we also have a Prayer Room located in our church offices, right next to our sanctuary. If you would like to join our Prayer Ministry, please email our Prayer Coordinator, Rev. Mike Shirey. If you would like our Prayer Ministry to pray for your prayer request please share it below on our Prayer Request Form.
