I met Linette during my Senior year at Indiana University. She was a young impressionable freshman and I fooled her into thinking I was “a somebody”. Actually, she’s much smarter than that. We fell in love and were married a couple years later. I graduated with a B.S. in Business, Linette with a B.S. in Elementary Education. We have been married for forty plus years and have five married children, all Christ-followers, and eleven grandchildren.
I had what I call “a real job” before pastoral ministry. My undergrad education included an emphasis in marketing, which landed me a successful career with Jantzen Sportswear, as their sales rep for the Northern New England territory. A small evangelical Presbyterian church in southern New Hampshire led us to faith in Christ and a year later God called us to follow Him into full time pastoral ministry. After obtaining a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, outside of Chicago, we planted a Vineyard church in Joliet Illinois. I’ve been fortunate to serve in several ministry settings as a solo, associate, executive and senior pastor in the Midwest, Deep South and the Southwest
Linette and I embarked on Transition Ministry about 2 ½ years ago serving two different ECO faith communities: Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina MN and Northside Fellowship, Westerville OH.
I along with the angels in heaven rejoice when someone “gets” the gospel,
placing their faith in and on Jesus Christ. I also love it when someone
responds to the Holy Spirit’s nudge to move from the sidelines to the field of
play engaging in an area of their passion, bringing all that they are to
advance the kingdom of God.
We truly enjoy people. I like a good novel, an engaging movie and a great cup of coffee. Linette and I are grateful to God to come alongside you, in this season of ministry.
